Sometime or other in your life you have encountered people with a toxic personality. A person is said to be “Toxic” who influences your life in a negative way. You are constantly stressed and depressed being around that person. You keep trying to find ways to please that person but the efforts are not at all appreciated. Toxic people anywhere, do no good to the people around them.

Let me ask you a question; as in what kind of environment would you prefer. Exhibit A where everyone shares everything with each other; there are no secrets and people here are not scared to voice their opinions as they know the opinions expressed will be taken in the right manner.

How many times have you encountered that your friend keeps on promising to catch up with you. You clear your schedule for that day in order to make room for the rendezvous with your friend and that friend at end time without giving any prior intimation cancelled on you.

Since the time immemorial the saying Honesty is the best policy has been ringing in our ears time and again. Initially we used to wonder what this saying was all about. But, as we grew up we realised the true meaning and the importance of this phrase. The meaning is really simple but the importance of it is far more valuable. Being honest in every walk of life will only be beneficial for us. Transparency in the work we do will speak volumes about our character and the way we conduct ourselves.

Trust is the one thing that changes everything. Trust is common to every individual, relationship, team, family, organization, nation, economy, and civilization throughout the world. If it is removed it has the capability to destroy the greatest friendship, the most successful business, the most thriving economy, the deepest love. Trust is one thing that impacts every individual 24/7, 365 days in a year.

Given an option whom would like to be associated with? Do you want to be with a person who is honest and ethical or person who is dishonest and corrupt? Majority of us will choose the person who is honest and ethical, i.e. a person with integrity. We all like to associate ourselves with a person with integrity, a person who is not only sincere with themselves but also with others. The word integrity is derived from the Latin word ‘integer’ which means whole or complete.

We all make mistakes; to err is human goes a well-known saying but how many of us accept that we have made mistakes and work towards making it right? Well, barely a handful of us. It is very natural for us human beings to make mistakes, but at the same time not taking responsibility for the mistakes is a sign of arrogance and having an ego.

Over the past couple of months, the news coverage is mainly of the frauds happening in the Indian banking sector. Be it the Punjab National Bank approx. Rs. 12,000 crores loan fraud or the ICICI –Videocon scam or the Rotomac fraud where seven consortium banks were cheated of Rs. 3700 crores.

Loyalty nowadays is a tough trait to find. Unfortunately today people’s loyalty depends upon how useful the other person is for them. Be it professional or personal life ‘Loyalty’ has become a rare attribute which can be seen at present.
